As I’ve been re‑reading Wendy Backlund’s “Living from the Unseen: Reflections from a Transformed Life”, I am constantly stirred and encouraged in my heart. There is something about this book that keeps calling me back; not just to read it, but to receive it.
Once again, I felt to share a short excerpt with you. My hope is simple: that it will encourage, awaken, and inspire you to explore the rest for yourself… and perhaps even place this book into the hands of someone who needs to remember who they truly are.
Because the truth is this:
– We are not orphans trying to earn God’s approval.
– We are sons and daughters of the King.
Our Father, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, has brought us into His family by grace. He has named us, claimed us, and called us His own.
Romans and the Reality of Our Adoption
Romans 8:14-15 “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God… the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.”
Romans 8:16-17 “The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and co‑heirs with Christ…”
Let that settle into your spirit today.
You are not striving for a place at the table… you already belong there.
